The Shave Cave is getting a revamp and moving to a new location in St. Petersburg.
Max Glazer, founding owner of Shave Cave, was called a “retail rookie” when he opened up the location that would inspire men to care for their hair by offering a vintage barbershop experience combined with an upscale sports bar-type environment where men could find camaraderie and fun.
The new location is going to offer the young business room to grow. Into what exactly?
It promises six barber stations and big screen TVs, which the Sundial location has today, but will expand to include a designated craft beer and wine lounge and an arcade. The new location is on the 1st Street strip and comprises of 1200 square feet.
The 1st Street location is in the newly-named Morgan and Morgan building and will combine two adjacent spaces into a single unit to meet the needs of the growing business.
About the location, Glazer says:
“I love St. Pete. I couldn’t imagine growing anywhere else. Our commitment to our clients has fueled growth, and we’ve simply outgrown our current space. The new location will provide us the opportunity to better serve our guests, host larger groups, and offer more to our current and future clients. We can’t thank Mr. Edwards and the Sundial enough for the first five years, and we are looking forward to many years to come.”
The Shave Cave offers men’s haircuts, buzz cuts, clean ups, beard trims and face shaves, as well as a proprietary product line crafted in St. Pete. If you’re looking for the Shave Cave today, you’ll find it in the heart of St.Petersburg at 121 2nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. It will be relocating to 215 1st Street North in St. Petersburg, FL 33701 after construction is complete.
