Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political committee raised more than $700,000 in June, including $100,000 from a development firm run by the family of state Sen. Travis Hutson, according to the committee’s website.
The committee Friends of Ron DeSantis will have to file a detailed finance report with the state by a Wednesday deadline. But a list of contributions on the website showed it raised at least $718,000 in June.
The largest contribution, $100,000 came from the St. Augustine-based Hutson Companies LLC. The committee also received $50,000 from The Villages of Lake-Sumter, Inc., a real estate firm. The committee received numerous $25,000 contributions, including from a UnitedHealth Group PAC; an Associated Industries of Florida PAC; Charter Communications; and Dosal Tobacco, according to the website.
The committee also raised $430,416 in May, a report filed with the state Division of Elections shows.
