The FHBPA will hold its annual Nominating Meeting and Awards Dinner on December 8, 2016 beginning at 5:30 pm in the Sport of Kings Room at Gulfstream Park. Nominations for the 2017 FHBPA Board of Directors election will be taken there for terms that are expiring.
Five, three-year positions are open for owners and trainers, plus 2 one-year alternates. Nominations have already been accepted for all current Board Members and alternates whose terms are expiring in 2017. A nomination from the floor will be accepted if it receives the endorsement of not less than three (3) members present at the Meeting, including the nominator and two (2) seconds, or is accompanied by a petition signed by no fewer than seventy five (75) members of the Association.
