The FHBPA is pleased to recognize Rodrick Sinkler as the Groom of the Month for February. Rodney, 62 and a native of Barbados, currently works horses in the barn of Kathy Ritvo, joining the Ritvo barn after many years of service to recently retired trainer George Handy.
According to Michael Ritvo, “Rodrick has been on a recent hot streak as all 4 horses in his charge, have come home winners. Everybody is happy for him, he’s doing a great job”. In addition, FHBPA Executive Director Billy Badgett praised Rodrick as one of the volunteers that worked tirelessly assisting horses and barns that were affected in the flash flooding that occurred earlier in the meet. “He just got to work and did whatever we needed done, he’s a good man said Badgett.”
Rodrick is not married, but has a brother, Jeffrey who is an assistant trainer in New York.
