The FTHA and 1S/T RACING teamed up with Pastor Tom LaPointe and His Place Ministries this week to put on Christmas parties for the backstretch community and their families at Gulfstream Park and Palm Meadows. More than 350 people attended the two events, with a buffet holiday dinner, bike raffles, and pony rides and lots of presents for the kids. Santa was on hand as well, distributing toys and good cheer. A special shout-out to FTHA’s Herb Oster, who is vital to making backstretch appreciation events possible. The happiest of holidays and all the best in 2023 to our owners and trainers, our incredible backstretch workers, and the amazing horses who make all this possible!
