To the FHBPA membership:
Due to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic, and the extraordinary measures necessary to protect the health and safety of any gathering of people, the FHBPA Board of Directors, after careful consideration, have decided to cancel the general meeting (which includes the nominating dinner) normally held in December.
The Bylaws require a quorum of 50 members for this meeting. Also present would be FHBPA staff, food workers, maintenance, and security personnel. Even with the heightened protocols due to the recent surge in Covid infections, there is no available venue where the Board could reasonably expect such a large group to safely meet and conduct business as required.
Accordingly, the FHBPA Board of Directors have also voted to extend the term of each current Board Member for 1 year.
It is the consensus of the Board, after much deliberation, that these steps are the most practical and prudent way forward in these unprecedented times.
